ALESSI Diabolix Bottle Opener Special edition for (RED)

With a long history of being involved in supporting other non-profit initiatives, Alessi is proud to be associated with (RED) and has a heightened awareness of the impact every contribution makes. Alessi contributes a portion of the purchase price from the (PRODUCT)RED “Diabolix” bottle opener to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, which can provide 6 days of life-saving HIV medication. Created as part of the F.F.F. (Family Follows Fiction) metaproject, an operation in the early 1990s that aimed to explore the affective structure of shapes and objects, starting from the idea of reproducing the object creation process followed by children and primitive cultures. The "Diabolix" bottle opener was a great success, perhaps because it married the creative energies of Centro Studi Alessi with a traditional object from the Alessi catalogue.
