ALESSI Alessandro M Special edition Corkscrew for (RED)

You’d hardly guess that this little man dressed in jumper, trousers and a hat was a corkscrew. Grip his ears to work the mechanism. With chrome head and sturdy plastic body. 
Measures 8-1/4 inches tall and is certainly easy to spot in any drawer, although we would keep him out as a cheerful little sculpture to brighten out day!

For the Special Edition, “Alessandro M.” is adorned in a red suit with a white heart embraced by (RED)’s brackets on the front, and the (PRODUCT)RED logo at the bottom of the back side. A "creature-object", this is Mendini's umpteenth exploration of the theory that "form follows function". It might also be his answer to the success of the "Anna G." woman-corkscrew.
